Desk Clerk by *Darkladder is a quirky, brilliant scene. As the suggester says, "From the cobwebs to the notices, the filters to the textures, there's always something new to see and admire inside this one little room with its two unique occupants." when i was a child i used to pass a picture around among friends, and we would all add different piece of mechanical equipment to the image, creating one very big, and detailed, piece of machinery that could do everything from fly, shoot bullets and make clouds.
this image brings me back to those moments in my childhood, moments i almost forgot!
i love your work, it speaks to me and i like the subtly in which, to me, the piece suggests that time is relative to each of us and our existence, as well as a whole.
i'm stopping by, you might say, on the walls of the artists whose work reaches out to me, to make sure they're aware of this event, manifestequality.org
we're taking submission to an art contest that hosts a panel of judges that are so rad (see below). they will choose from submissions pieces that they feel reflect the mission of the event to be shown next to prominent modern artists such as Barry McGee, Swoon, Shepard Fairy, and many more.
If you want to read more about the submission process you can go here [link]
The panel of judges we selected are: Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa Shepard Fairey (Artist) Annie Philbin (Dir. Hammer Museum) Franklin Sirmans (Curator Contemporary Art, LACMA) Ed Ruscha (Artist) Lisa Love (Senior WC Editor, Vogue) Edgar Arceneaux (Director, Watts House Project) Rick Jacobs (Founder, Courage Campaign) David Pagel (Art Critic, LA Times) Lari Pittman (Artist)
so, thanks for listening. i hope you have a great day and that this message comes across as a piece of art itself. for my art is in communication, using words in the hopes to spread hope, and determination at being a part of a world that is an amazing awesome place.
You're most welcome! I have to say that back to you, because I'd love to be able to do 3D ^^ very technical but it's interesting. Thank you for your kind thoughts <D
